Fergus McAlpine’s intimate arrangement of Alma Mahler’s Vier Lieder brings her luminous songs into fresh focus, revealing the voice of a gifted composer too long overshadowed.

We conclude with Klaus Simon’s compelling chamber version of Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 1, a bold reimagining that preserves the symphony’s emotional scope while inviting listeners into a more personal sonic landscape.
