About the event

A potpourri of favorites from the string orchestra repertoire! Jessie Montgomery is an acclaimed composer, violinist and educator; a rising star of young African American composers, currently Composer-in-Residence with the Chicago Symphony and residing on the upper west side of New York City. Tchaikovsky’s soaring Serenade is perhaps the most famous of the string orchestra repertoire.
